Katie’s first job in recruitment was in 2004, a part time role at Hays whilst studying for her degree in Marketing and Media. After completion of her degree and a years experience in a search marketing agency (SEO & PPC) she joined Ecom digital recruitment in 2007.
During her time at Ecom Katie progressed quickly, becoming a team leader, then taking responsibilty for the client side division. Katie recruited, trained and managed 3 teams across Project Management, UX, Tech and Creative. Working directly under the two partners of the Company as 3rd in command. Katie was an integral part in developing the business before it's multi million pound acquisition in to the interquest group in 2013.
After having her twin girls, Katie spent the last 2 years at The Industry Club heading up their digital arm (focusing on Digital Creative, UI and UX). Katie worked primarily with creative agencies, tasked with driving a traditional offline recruitment presence into the digital market and building a in house client base.
Katie’s a pure digital recruiter with a specialist area of Creative and Tech. She has a passion for strong usability, nothing annoys Katie more than a badly designed and functioning website (especially when online shopping).
When Katie isn’t working or caring for her twins (or online shopping) she enjoys charity fundraising by completing marathons or organising an event or two. Nothing is more relaxing however than a nice hike in her Native Welsh hills with her two Westie dogs Ramsay and Fergus.
