Role

The Senior Digital Product Owner will be responsible for the strategic development and successful implementation of the front-end for our new web platform (CMS). This will be the both presentation layer and applications which sit behind the presentation layer i.e. service finder, some e-commerce journeys. The successful candidate will work closely with internal business stakeholders and technology development partners to drive an improved website including content, user-interfaces and customer-centric journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering a high quality, intuitive, customer-centric user experience on a new CMS platform, which is consistent, relevant and device-appropriate
  • Work with internal stakeholders to quickly transform business requirements, insights and ideas into a usable product for customers
  • Apply user-centred design (UCD) methodologies to help design customer-centric experiences, solve complex business problems and measure the success of the outcomes
  • Set product vision based on customer needs, market intelligence and business objectives
  • Develop product roadmap & prioritise customer and business needs, manage the backlog of requirements to deliver business benefit
  • Create clear and consistent user stories/requirements that define product specifications for delivery teams
  • Drive delivery of each feature through Agile Delivery Units from conception to launch, developing and implementing go-to-market plans
  • Manage all work and costs related to design and UX
  • Engage and manage key stakeholders to define product needs/features and how to best achieve benefits from launch of new features

Background

  • Experience of delivering a new Content Management System in a complex matrix organisation essential
  • Intuitive understanding of UX principles, e-commerce trends, and an ability to weight optimum journeys with cost to implement
  • Able to prioritise effectively and deliver under time pressure to a high standard 
  • Expert in Agile methodology – having previously acted as a successful Product Owner 
  • Able to work autonomously with drive to deliver a set goal and strong attention to detail
  • Experience in a client-side, large matrix organisation with strong stakeholder management and good communications skills
