Social Media Manager

We are currently working with a leading UK Charity who is currently recruiting for a Social Media Manager to strengthen their current digital team. This role will be the driving force behind the organisation's social media platforms and content output. With the support of the wider marketing and PR team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering copy and multimedia content across various social channels, community management and channel growth, as well as working to identify and collaborate with influencers.

The Role:

  • Maintain and support the brand's audience across various social platforms, responding to stakeholder requests and moderating content
  • Manage and maintain all national social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter). Plan social content and maintain a varied content calendar
  • Execute and evaluate direct response, brand organic and paid social media campaigns and initiatives
  • Work closely to ensure key content is integrated across different social media platforms at a regional and local level.
  • Monthly reporting on engagement and listening, understanding the impacts across all social channels, by using social monitoring and intelligence tools
  • Work within and across teams/departments to ensure campaigns are supported through all appropriate digital channels and platforms.
  • Monitoring the success of the community and social media in terms of the overall digital marketing strategy, using analytical skills to plan, evaluate and optimise campaigns.
  • Regularly identify issues, patterns and trends across all social media channels
  • Coordinate community management: manage and grow our online community as well as drive online conversation and conversion.
  • Research and present key social media developments, digital trends, and emerging talent and influencers becoming an authority on the fast-paced pulse of social media.

The Person:

  • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to activating advertising and brand awareness activities to a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of using enterprise social management tools such as Falcon, Hootsuite and/or Brandwatch
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platform algorithms
  • Strong editing and writing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet or post to using effective storytelling techniques
  • Experience in designing social media content to sustain and raise brand awareness
  • Experience in building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research
  • Knowledge of using enterprise social management tools such as Falcon, Hootsuite and/or Brandwatch
